You may find it interesting to know that many sweaters that are labeled as "hand knit" are actually knit on a manual knitting machine. Although it saves a significant amount of time to knit on a machine, you cannot match the quality or craftsmanship of a sweater knit with knitting needles, one stitch at a time.
